Clayton Jacobson

Clayton Jacobson is a director, writer, producer and actor whose work runs from feature film and television to commercials, documentary, online content and music video. He graduated from the Swinburne film and TV school with a Bachelor of Arts in 1984 and has worked in the Australian film industry since.
His debut feature, the comedy Kenny, was a box office hit and won the 2006 IF Awards for Best Feature Film and Best Script, and the Film Critics Circle of Australia Award for Best Original Screenplay. His follow-up, the black comedy Brothers' Nest, went on to festival awards worldwide. For television he directed two episodes of Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries, the ABC comedy showroom episode Moonman, and the second block of Mr Black. As an actor he appears in Animal Kingdom, Jane Campion's Top of the Lake: China Girl and Blumhouse's Upgrade.
He founded Dreamscreen Australia, the country's first end-to-end virtual production facility, in Melbourne's north. It has serviced productions including The Fires, The Clearing, Love Me, Scrublands, White Fever and High Country.
He is now Executive Director and AI creative artist at Gunshy Ayeye, a collective of directors, writers, producers and designers using AI to extend the craft they already had. His AI work there runs from comedy shorts and an animated short documentary to commercials and music videos.
